Who We Are
2020 was really a game-changer in many ways for so many of us! Introspection seemed to be the name of the game for many, and like the larger world around us, the Team at Inspire Nous became even more determined to contribute expansively and at a high level to conversations all over the world. What were we talking about? Changing the rules of engagement.
The regenerated brand, Inspire Nous, was an outcropping of an almost 18-year old business. When we looked at the essential aspects of that business our conversation quickly became distilled around four main topic areas. These were the main activities of that business, but since more focus revolved around the name Native Capital, some prospective customers indicated that they did not feel that like it was for them because they were not Indigenous. In fact, had these customers not known the people involved in the business directly they would have not even reached out nor would we have had the opportunity to collaborate.
So, change was called for. We took a deep dive into possibilities for names and the word that kept cropping up was “inspiration” or “inspirational.” The other word that emerged was “investment.”
As we unpacked those words and concepts was came to light was that the entire body of work that was always underway in Native Capital was that capital was a piece of the picture – certainly not the whole picture. We reached forward to be even more inclusive in our thoughts and arrived at what would become our Four Founding Pillars.
